Today I’d like to share another sneak preview of some of the information that will be in the 2012 Annual Report for OSF Supportive Care which will be published on our website later next week. In my opening letter I address three significant strides we made during 2012 and the one I’d like to feature today is in pastoral care.
“Our individual facilities have included their own pastoral care staffs from the beginning which was seven years ago. However, there had been no formal mechanism for these professionals to become a real community. That has now occurred. As an organization that focuses on the complete person, having our pastoral care staff working as a team is a terrific benefit to other providers and of course, to the patient and his or her family.”

Pastorial care at OSF St Joseph was such a blessing when my sister had her heart attack and passed away!
