Pediatric Intensive Care Unit

In the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, we take a team-based approach to caring for each child.

These rooms are designed so clinical staff can see each patient at all times with glass-paneled doors and windows easily seen from each nursing work station. We also have a monitor tech whose sole responsibility is to observe each child’s vital signs and alert the nurse when needed.

Your PICU team may consist of an intensivist, residents, advanced practice nurses, nurses, respiratory therapist, physical therapist, speech therapist, occupational therapist, child life specialist, critical care dieticians, supportive care counselors, pastoral care, case managers, patient care techs, patient care liaisons and monitor techs.

We provide the highest level of inpatient cardiac care in collaboration with our  Congenital Heart Center.
