OSF Wound Care was recognized with two awards from Healogics for their performance in 2023: the Robert A. Warriner, III, Award for Clinical Excellence and the Center of Distinction Award.

“In order to receive such awards, we must excel in Key Performance Quality Indicators for 2023,” said Audra Baker, program director. “We are beyond excited to be recognized for the hard work and dedication to heal patients.”

In the last year, OSF Wound Care has:

  • Seen 266 new walk-in patients.
  • Had 1,867 wound care encounters.
  • Treated over 750 wounds.

Key Performance Quality Indicators [LF1] for last year:

  • Healing rate of 95%
  • Median days to heal of just 21 days
  • Patient satisfaction 96%

Advanced wound care modalities provided by our wound care experts include negative pressure wound therapy, total contact casting, bio-engineered tissues, biosynthetic dressings, and growth factor therapies.

“OSF Wound Care is only one of 90 wound ware centers in the country to have Master Caster Certifications to treat diabetic foot ulcer patients with total contact casts,” said Audra. “We are the only one in our area to have this certification!”

OSF Wound Care is a member of the Healogics network of over 600 Wound Care Centers® and offers highly specialized wound care to patients suffering from diabetic foot ulcers, pressure ulcers, infections, and other chronic wounds.

“We have been blessed with wonderful Mission Partners and providers,” said Audra. “We are so grateful to have this needed service line in the community and treat these patients. We truly enjoy what we do—healing wounds, teaching patients and families, impacting lives—all while having fun doing it. We strive every day for every patient (and their families) to have the best experience here at OSF Wound Care. To see our patients who have dealt with wounds for days, or even years, and been treated at other places come here and heal makes it all worth it. It has also been an honor and privilege to be a resource for other providers and services like home health.”

[LF1]I might re-word this more simply for this audience, more like “OSF Wound Care is proud to have achieved…” or something
