Other Care Options

Emergency Care

If your condition could cause serious, long-term health problems, you likely need emergency care. Call 9-1-1 or go to an emergency center near you if you experience:

  • Bleeding or vomiting that won’t stop
  • Chest pain
  • Fainting (loss of consciousness)
  • Moderate to severe burns
  • Persistent confusion
  • Severe pain
  • Sudden loss of vision
  • Trouble breathing or speaking

Primary Care

Urgent care is a great option when your primary care provider isn’t available. However, for your long-term health, it's important to have a family doctor, internal medicine provider (for adults), pediatrician, or another type of general practitioner. These professionals help prevent illnesses and manage chronic conditions, so you can feel your best.
