Santa's Divine Dark Chocolate

Don’t feel like making cookies this holiday season? Santa LOVES this dark chocolate bark! Make this easy treat your own by adding whatever dried fruit, nuts or holiday hard candies you like!

Serves: 20 (Serving= 1 piece) Nutrition info is for version with candy canes

Ingredients

  • 1 – 10 ounce bag of dark chocolate chips (60% cacao or more)
  • 1/3 cup chopped dried cranberries
  • 1/3 cup chopped walnuts

OR

  • 1 – 10 ounce bag of dark chocolate chips (60% cacao or more)
  • 12 regular size candy canes, chopped into pieces

Directions

  1. Option 1:  Using double boiler, melt chocolate. Remove chocolate from heat.  Stir until smooth.

    Option 2:  Place chocolate in medium microwave safe bowl and microwave for 30 seconds.  Stir, then microwave for an additional 30 seconds.  Stir until smooth.
  2. Place 2/3 of peppermint candies/candy canes or cranberries and walnuts into chocolate.  Stir until combined.
  3. Spread thin onto a baking sheet covered in foil.  Sprinkle remaining ingredients on top. 
  4. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.  Break into pieces.
