College of Nursing provides 80 single dormitory rooms for female or male students. All rooms are equipped with wireless internet access and a phone for local phone service. Each room comes with a single bed, computer desk and chair, dresser, closet and sink.
Every dorm floor has two Resident Assistants (RA’s). The RA’s are fellow College of Nursing students and act as the initial point of contact for dorm students with concerns or questions. An RA is responsible for building community, enforcing policies, and mediating conflicts. Guests and friends of students are welcome to visit dorm floors during the hours of 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 9 a.m. to 1 a.m. Friday and Saturday.
The main floor of the residence includes a spacious reception area, a large, newly remodeled recreation room and kitchen as well as laundry facility. Kitchen is equipped with commercial refrigerators, freezers and cooking ranges as well as microwaves and coffee machines. Vending and ice machines are also available. Exercise equipment, a pool table, televisions and DVD players are available in recreation rooms. Each dorm floor has two lounges with large screen TV’s and DVD players as well as rooms with microwaves and refrigerator/freezers.
Housing is comprised of 3 floors each having between 15-30 residents. The third floor is co-ed floor. Each floor has two community bathrooms comprising of 3 showers, double sinks and toilet stalls. All dorms are single rooms with sinks.
